Join me on my journey?
Here’s a look into who I am: I’m Mari. ☀️ Or Marisol. (Or Mari-cucha. 🤣)
I’m a Mom, a wife, a Puerto Rican woman. I’m a coach. I’m a facilitator. I’m a former accordion playing, guitar dabbling creative.
I’m a dreamer. I’m a Scorpio. Rising Saggitarius. Whatever that means…..I’m not quite sure. 🤔
(I know I’m a Scorpio Sun, so maybe that means I’m a Saggitarius moon? If anyone knows, I’m all ears! 😂)
I’m spiritual. And a recovering Catholic. I have faith in something bigger than me, a higher consciousness…the divine, but I’m shedding the catholic guilt, the shame, and the denial of women’s power and leadership.
I’m a trying-to-recover people pleaser. I’m a work in progress. 🤷🏻♀️ It seeps into everything I do, but I’m trying to recognize it, bring awareness to it, and rectify it when I can.
I’m a grump, and can have that Puerto Rican attitude crop up from time to time. (You know, the head shaking, neck twirling, I have something to say thing? Yeah, that. 😆)
I’m idealistic. But I try to keep it real.
I’m an empath, and intuitive. (This is the first time I’m writing that out like that and all I can feel inside is eeeeeek!)
But…..I’m also a skeptic….I know, go figure.
I believe in science, the definitiveness of it. Evidence-based research, so you know it’s legit. Proof, please.
But I also believe in ghosts. 🫣😆 wtf
I’m a conundrum. Even, and perhaps especially, to myself.
I’m inconsistent. I’m emotional. I’m moody and introspective.
I’m also silly, and goofy at times.
I’m ambitious, but also lazy. I like not having anything on my schedule. And yet there are times I like getting all the shit done.
And so, welcome to my messy life. This is a small taste and sharing of ME. It’s not all that I am, because I am so much more, but this is where I’ll start.
Let me know if anything I share lands with you. I would love for this to be a conversation. 🙏🏼

Guess what I did?! I created a YouTube Channel! Woohoo! ☀️
Have you seen my trailer?
Guess what I haven’t done? Record more content! Ta-da! (Cue my epic failure!)
I’ve had people come up to me and tell me that they’re waiting in the wings.
“Where’s your next video, Mari?” “Hey, lady, when are you going to post something??”
Good questions, good questions. I’m not sure!
Part of what’s holding me back is this idea that anything I put into the world needs to be perfect in every way. It needs to be curated. Performed. Scripted. Entertaining.
And because of that idea, I’ve felt mentally and creatively blocked. There’s also this small part of me, the rebel in me, that says just because I put a trailer out doesn’t mean I need to give in to the pressure to do the thing. The pressure of expectations.
Maybe the answer is….when I feel like it? When I decide I have the energy, focus and desire to be in service of something that needs to be called out and declared. When I have something I want to say and video is the way I want to say it.
Or maybe it’s when I decide to get out of my own way. When I don’t feel the need to look good and “presentable” on camera. When I don’t feel the need to do my makeup. Maybe I can just be fully me, in all my messy glory. My promise to you is that when I do create my next video, that it will come from my heart. It will ring true. It will come from an honest place that speaks what needs to be said to be in service. Not for validation, not for clicks, but for heart and truth. Bear with me, people! 😉😘 —— I always love it when people share what they’re currently reading or consuming. You know, resources, videos, books, anything they find is helping them live with more heart.
So here are some of my faves right now:
I’m lucky enough to have started working with an AMAZING coach who has pushed me to expand myself. Her name is Lael Jepson and she helps people to be brave. And let me tell you, she really does follow through on that promise!! If you would like to learn more about her work and her amazingness you can check her out HERE.
I’m currently reading Outrageous Openness by Tosha Silver. It is a book to connect to the divine, to create and manifest beauty and magic into your life. Easy reading with lots of storytelling! Are you a Conan O’Brien fan? If so, perhaps you’ve heard of his assistant, Sona Movsesian. She. Keeps. Things. Real. I love her! Haha! Her book is called The World’s Worst Assistant and it’s hilarious, and if you can believe it, also inspiring. She talks about having self respect, not allowing yourself to be talked down to in the workplace, as well as how to be extremely lazy and doing the bare minimum. Lol!! It’s refreshing to hear that in a world where we’re being constantly told to “hustle”. Check it out for a good laugh.
Lastly (for now), here’s an amazing interview with Oprah on Career, Life, and Leadership that my coach shared with me recently and that I MUST re-visit throughout my life to remind me to trust myself. One thing that stands out is her point about finding out what your soul is truly here to do, and living a life where your personality is in service of that. When you’re able to do both things, you’ll live a life truly aligned, honest and fulfilling. So, do you know what you are here to do?
Me? I’m still figuring that out. Join me on the journey? ❤️
